My Lifelong Joy: Dance!
As long as I can remember, I’ve been dancing. One of my most vivid memories as a child was playing records on our stereo in a room that was completely empty otherwise, and just dancing and dancing and dancing. Dancing for joy, dancing out my energy, dancing in an unconscious connection to something bigger. Dance was my joy, my connection to my body, myself, and at the same time to something far greater than myself.
I took years of dance lessons – jazz, gymnastics, ballet, and of course tap. If I could describe the feeling of those childhood days of dancing, it would be a whirlwind of songs, movements, colors, discipline, focus, but most of all – joy! One of the greatest gifts my mother gave me was cultivating my love of dance. It has given me a lifetime of joy.
That is without a doubt one of the things I love most about the “Rebbetzin Tap” project. To be able to pass along my joy of song and dance to new generations of Jewish children is so deeply fulfilling. Each time a mother tells me how much Rebbetzin Tap music has enhanced her child’s life, I feel the deep pride and satisfaction of completing a circle – starting with me and continuing on to others.
That’s why in our latest projects, my husband and I wanted to create something that would truly get others dancing… To teach and inspire and give the gift of dance, not just as entertainment, but as a skill to develop and enjoy for a lifetime.
So I’m super excited to present my two newest projects… An opportunity for YOU to dance!

Consider enhancing the life of a child and cultivating a lifetime of joy by teaching them to dance. If my work can be used as a tool to achieve that goal, I would be overjoyed and honored!
Please share this post with anyone you know who loves to dance and would like to develop that love.
